PRO-STAFFER OF THE WEEK
DOUG DYE - Cedar Bluff, VA
This Week’s Pro Staffer of the week features Doug Dye. Doug served in the USAF during the Gulf.
Doug has been wearing his Zekos for 2 years. He rotates between 3 pair - blue, black and black and silver.
Thank you for your service, Doug!
Tell us a little about yourself:
I grew up in this area. I left for 10 years while being in the USAF during the Gulf, but returned home. I have been fishing my whole life. I had an accident that caused me to have my left arm amputated at the elbow in 2015, so I had to relearn to fish right handed with a prosthetic arm.
What is your favorite fishing technique?
I currently fish the 200+ boats, Tennessee Team Trail. I love to throw the Carolina Right, but also love Cranking with a crankbait and a lip less baits.
What’s your best fishing memory?
My favorite fishing memory is with my dad at 12 years old when I caught my first big bass (7.5 pounds) on July 4,1976.
What’s your biggest fishing dream?
My immediate goal is to win a tournament on my current trail, then the championship. Then, go and compete and be successful on FLW Costa series.
What motivates you to be part of the Zeko ProStaff?
In 2015, God saved me and I'm trying to be faithful to him and let him guide me in my journey. Thank you Zeko, for the opportunity to represent your great company. Looking forward to a great relationship beyond 2017.
Doug also has his own fishing page - check it out: https://www.facebook.com/DougDyeFishing/
